Safety
If You Smell Gas!
Go to a phone that is not near the smell and call your propane company right away. (If the smell is strong or you are unsure, leave the building and then call.) They will come and make the area safe at no charge to you. While waiting for the propane company field service representative:
- Keep everyone away from the area of the odor.
- Do not smoke, strike any matches, or light any flame.
- Do not light any candles.
- Do not flip light switches on OR off.
- Do not use a telephone/cellphone.
- Do not use any electrical equipment or lights that may create a spark in the area of the odor.
- Do not use a doorbell.
- Do not adjust thermostats or appliance controls.
- Do not use elevators.
- Put out all open flames.
Reading Your Tank Gauge
Your tank gauge is a percentage of the liquid amount in your tank.
- Gallons x Percentage = Volume
For Example:
If a 250-gallon propane tank gauge reads 60%, you have approximately 150 gallons.
250 Gallons x .60 (60%) = 150 Gallons
250 Gallons x .60 (60%) = 150 Gallons
